Portals to Beyond
INNER SPACES series proposes to test the limits of perception and imagination through augmented reality. The idea is to illustrate the relationship between reality and illusion, which opens an imaginary realm where the outer world and the inner space of the mind meet and merge, creating a boundary that is both off-limits and yet permeable. The additional dimension of augmented reality enables us to blur the boundaries between reality and fiction, simulation and simulacrum, and to transcend the limits of our perception. Augmented reality represents a further development of this immersion: a new reality where the participant is no longer just a spectator.
INNER SPACES are capable of involving the spectator in a more participatory way, thanks to an aesthetic and narrative arrangement that favors a new perceptive and imaginative experience, beyond limits. Installation INNER SPACES, like the doors of perception, implies the openness into new interpretations of reality.
